| In memory of our dear friend James Austin - Extraordinary jazz singer and beautiful soul. James sang with The Platters for 25 years. He was the opening act for Cafe Soul, and gave us many happy hours of music and great entertainment. (James Austin Memorial Page is under construction. Look for it soon / 10-11-06) |
| When Cafe Soul opened in 2003, Many Memphis jazz musicians came out to support it. Every Sunday night had performances by James Austin and a trio - piano, drum and bass. James would invite all musicians and vocalist to join him in performance. Below are pictures from several of those memorable evenings. |
